Reports indicate the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung’s top-tier model, may face a delayed launch as the company navigates the financial implications. While a February launch remains the target for the S26 series and the Fold 8, the Ultra’s release could be pushed back.
Recent certifications, including one from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for the Galaxy S26+, suggest development is progressing. Leaks also point towards lighter designs for both the S26 and Fold 8. Despite these advancements, the core challenge remains: balancing innovation with affordability in the face of rising component costs. Samsung is reportedly considering maintaining similar pricing to previous generations, but this will depend heavily on the stabilization of memory prices.
