ROG & XREAL: 240Hz AR Glasses Redefine Mobile Gaming

ASUS Republic of Gamers is partnering with XREAL to launch the ROG XREAL R1 AR gaming glasses, slated for release in 2026. These glasses boast a blazing-fast 240Hz refresh rate, promising a fluid and responsive gaming experience.
The XREAL R1 aims to transform handheld gaming, PC setups, and console play by projecting a massive virtual screen – equivalent to a 171-inch display – directly into the user’s field of view. This eliminates the limitations of smaller screens, offering a more immersive and detailed visual experience.
The announcement was made alongside other next-generation gaming innovations from ASUS ROG at CES 2026, marking the company’s 20th anniversary in the gaming industry. Details regarding pricing and full specifications are expected closer to the release date.
